This full time Staff Accountant – Audit role supports a boutique CPA public accounting firm serving small to mid-sized businesses. You will work across assurance, tax, and accounting engagements for owner-managed businesses, corporations, charities, and not-for-profit organizations. The position offers hands-on public practice experience.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and complete audit, review, and compilation engagements
Prepare adjusting journal entries and year-end entries
Coordinate communication among clients and firm personnel
Prepare T1 and T2 tax returns
Complete applicable charity and not-for-profit reporting
Requirements: Accounting or business degree or diploma
Three to five years of public practice experience
Hands-on audit, review, and compilation experience
Working knowledge of Canadian tax laws
Proficiency with Caseware, QuickBooks, or Sage
