Apply Canadian GAAP, IFRS, and investment accounting expertise as a Senior Analyst supporting HOOPP’s General Ledger and reporting functions. Work across Finance and investment teams to maintain accurate records.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Accounting and Reporting, this senior role covers HOOPP investments excluding Real Estate, Private Equities, and Infrastructure. You will analyze financial results, support reporting, and collaborate with Investment Management, Risk, Information Technology, and Business Process teams. The position requires strong technical knowledge, judgment, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities: Perform month-end reconciliations within monthly and quarterly reporting timelines
Analyze investment results, income, reasonability, and fluctuations
Prepare journal entries, working papers,



and audit documentation
Assess customized investment transactions and document recommendations
Maintain accounting policies, ICFR narratives, and operating procedures
Requirements: University degree in Business or related discipline
Successful completion of a CPA accounting designation
Minimum five years’ financial services accounting experience
Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, derivatives, and marketable securities
Solid analytical, communication, judgment, and prioritization skills
Use GAAP, IFRS, reconciliation, and reporting expertise to support accurate investment records and financial reporting at HOOPP.
