The Regulatory Policy Specialist develops case filings and strategies aligned with Xcel Energy’s goals. This position requires regulatory experience, robust writing, and knowledge of regulatory structures and environments. You will coordinate with subject matter experts, case management teams, regulators, stakeholders, and internal customers.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, compile, edit, and organize complex regulatory filings
Prepare testimony, discovery responses, presentations, and key messages
Advocate company positions in regulatory and legislative forums
Coordinate compliance activities in assigned jurisdictions
Communicate filing issues and strategies with senior management
Requirements: BA or BS degree
Five to seven years of regulatory experience
Specific experience handling regulatory filings
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
Availability for overnight travel and extensive overtime
