Health PEI seeks a full time, permanent Patient Care Worker for medical, palliative, and telemetry care. Under a nursing provider’s direction, you will deliver patient care activities, document services, and respond to individual needs. The role reports to the Nurse Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Provide personal hygiene and elimination assistance
Perform basic care procedures under patient care plans
Document activities according to policy requirements
Assist with meals, intake, and output monitoring
Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and post-mortem care
Requirements: High school diploma or recognized equivalent
Resident Care Worker certification or recognized equivalent
Good communication and judgment skills
Capacity for sustained physical activity
Medical, palliative, or acute care experience preferred
Bring patient care, documentation, communication, and physical support skills to Health PEI’s Summerside hospital team.
