The Data Analyst and Evaluation Specialist supports data infrastructure, evaluation, and reporting across the Associate Provost, Students portfolio. You will source, consolidate, clean, merge, and analyze complex datasets while applying descriptive and inferential statistics. Your work supports retention, academic success, advising, transition initiatives, equity, and student experience programs.

Key Responsibilities
Develop Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products Clean, merge, format, and analyze complex institutional datasets Identify data anomalies and refer discrepancies to data stewards Support surveys, evaluation plans,



indicators, and reporting cycles Translate findings for university administrators and campus stakeholders

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience At least three years analyzing complex datasets Experience with Python and/or R for data manipulation Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, and statistical analysis knowledge Solid consultation, communication, documentation, and organizational skills Apply data analysis, evaluation, statistics, and visualization expertise to strengthen student success insights at the University of Waterloo.
