Experienced Waterproofing & Drainage Lead Hand

Winstorm Projects is looking for an experienced Waterproofing & Drainage Lead Hand to join our growing team.

We specialize in residential foundation waterproofing, drainage, excavation and water-management solutions throughout Guelph and surrounding areas.

We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and hands-on. This position is ideal for someone who knows waterproofing and drainage work and is ready to take more responsibility on site.

You will work alongside our crew while helping organize jobs, solve problems and keep projects moving efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Exterior foundation waterproofing
- Interior waterproofing and weeping tile systems
- Foundation excavation and preparation
- Installing liquid waterproofing membranes, mesh, Blueskin and dimple membrane
- Installing and replacing weeping tile
- French drains and yard drainage systems
- Catch basins and channel drains
- Sump basin and sump pump installations
- Window wells and window well drainage
- Foundation crack repairs
- Grading and water-management solutions
- Gravel placement and backfilling
- Operating mini excavators and skid steers when required
- Helping organize and direct crew members
- Identifying and troubleshooting drainage/water issues
- Keeping job sites secure, clean and organized
- Communicating job progress and unexpected site conditions

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has real hands-on experience in waterproofing, drainage, excavation or foundation work.

The right person will be:

- Experienced in waterproofing and/or drainage




- Comfortable taking the lead on site when required
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Reliable and punctual
- A strong problem solver
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical construction work
- Able to work well with and help direct a small crew
- Experienced with mini excavators/skid steers is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s licence preferred

Previous lead-hand experience is an asset, but we’re also interested in an experienced waterproofing or drainage worker who is ready to step into a leadership role.
