Valet Car Wash – Guelph North (Woodlawn Rd.)

POSITION DETAILS

- Part time: 15–20 hours per week
- Afternoon and closing shifts
- Required availability: Weekends
- Location: 128 Woodlawn Road, Guelph, ON

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely guide and load vehicles into the wash tunnel, ensuring proper positioning and spacing.
- Inspect vehicles before entry, checking for loose parts, hitches, bike racks, and other potential safety concerns.
- Ensure truck beds are completely empty and vehicles meet wash entry requirements.
- Provide customers with clear instructions and monitor vehicle loading to ensure safe operation.
- Monitor tunnel equipment, brushes, wraps, and conveyor systems during operation.
- Respond to equipment alarms and report breakdowns, hazards, or incidents to management.
- Complete daily cleaning and maintenance, including tunnel walls, floors, wraps, equipment, and surrounding work areas.
- Use pressure washers and cleaning equipment safely and follow required shutdown procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the wash entrance, exit, and lot, including garbage removal and general upkeep.
- Complete assigned inspections, checklists, maintenance logs, and closing duties.
- Organize supplies and equipment, leaving the site clean, safe, and ready for the next business day.
- Provide friendly customer service and follow all company policies and health and safety procedures.




- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work independently and cooperatively with colleagues.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform active duties.
- Willing to learn, follow safety procedures, and take direction.
- Previous car wash experience is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided.

SKILLS

Required:

- Practical cleaning skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with customers.

Preferred:

- Previous customer service experience or strong customer service skills.
- Ability to assist customers and respond to their needs.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in a busy environment.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

This position is specifically for the afternoon and closing shift. Weekend availability is required, including Saturdays and alternating Sundays.

Applicants must be comfortable working until closing and completing all assigned closing duties before leaving.
