Lead specialist Gastroenterology care at Ilford Hospital, using advanced endoscopy skills and clinical judgement. This opportunity supports full time or part-time working.

CHEC seeks an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to deliver consultant-led services for patients across Ilford and the South region. You will assess, diagnose and manage referrals while working with multidisciplinary teams. The post combines clinical care with service development, governance and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver consultant-led Gastroenterology outpatient clinics
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy
- Complete a minimum of two endoscopy lists weekly
- Provide expert clinical advice and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation under CHEC policies and GMC standards

Requirements:

- Experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with strong clinical background
- Significant diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy experience
- Excellent clinical judgement and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
- Experience in governance, audit and quality improvement
