Maximum Seafood is seeking an organized, hands-on City Dispatch Coordinator to support our daily transportation and delivery operations.

This role is responsible for coordinating driver schedules, planning routes, preparing dispatch documentation, monitoring deliveries, and communicating with drivers and internal departments to help ensure deliveries and pickups are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Manager, Fleet Manager, warehouse, sales, procurement, HR, and payroll teams in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare weekly driver schedules and coordinate daily driver coverage.
- Plan and assign routes for fresh and frozen deliveries.
- Coordinate early-morning airport and cold-storage pickups.
- Prepare driver run sheets and communicate daily routes and assignments.
- Monitor delivery progress using the company fleet tracking system and provide ETAs when required.
- Communicate with drivers regarding delivery issues, customer concerns, vehicle problems, delays, and MTO inspections.
- Coordinate driver vacation, sick leave, and coverage requirements with management and HR.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new drivers on delivery procedures, safety requirements, customer service, vehicle care, and company expectations.
- Work with the Fleet Manager to coordinate scheduled vehicle maintenance and replacement vehicles.
- Review weekly driver hours and communicate required corrections or discrepancies to HR/Payroll.
- Communicate delivery and pickup delays to customers and internal departments as required.
- Maintain accurate dispatch, route, and delivery information.
- Support warehouse and shipping operations while following PPE, food safety, and company procedures.
- Assist with additional transportation, shipping, and operational duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in dispatch,



transportation, logistics, fleet coordination, or route planning.
- Experience coordinating multiple drivers, routes, deliveries, and changing priorities.
- Knowledge of MTO and commercial transportation requirements is an asset.
- Food distribution, seafood, refrigerated transportation, or warehouse experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to changing delivery requirements.
- Comfortable using GPS, fleet tracking, routing, and dispatch systems.
- Strong knowledge of the GTA and surrounding delivery areas is an asset.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and assisting in other operational areas when required.

Pay: $58,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
