Our client is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring the productive movement, storage, and management of materials within their facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory through accurate barcode scanning and use of warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations.
- Conduct routine inspections on equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance with OHS standards.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to prevent accidents.
Skills
- Proven experience operating propane counterbalance forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments.
