TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a FIELD TECHNICIAN I for an Edmonton & Calgary area-based opportunity. This is a casual, part-time contract position with the potential to become a permanent position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial field professional with strong electrical, mechanical and/or IT experience. The successful candidate will provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance for various systems.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to APPLY with their through:
- Conduct routine system inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Provide on-site customer support and basic user training
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at client locations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions under supervision.
- Document service activities and report findings to senior technicians or management.
- Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide basic training on equipment usage.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
- Follow all safety regulations and industry standards while working on-site.
Must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 – 5 years of experience working as a Field Technician I.
- Must have Working at Heights/Fall Arrest, Scissor/Boom/Ariel and WHMIS certificates before contract commencement.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible schedule when needed.
- Low voltage experience, particularly cabling, Fibre, CCTV,
access control, or rack & stack, and Installation/Mounting.
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Nice to have:
- Post-secondary education in a technical field is an asset
- Current Fibre, CCTV and/or Access Control certificates are an asset
