We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate (Overnight Shift) to join Desco and be part of our dynamic team in our Distribution Centre located at 7550 Tranmere Drive, Mississauga, ON.

SCHEDULE:

Sunday - Thursday (Overnight Shift): 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Night Shift Supervisor, the Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day delivery and warehouse operations and activities, with a goal to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This hybrid role will be an estimated 70% driving and 30% warehouse, but may fluctuate based on business needs.

Responsibilities (Driving)

- Complete branch transfers overnight using company vehicle (DZ class licence).
- Load and unload materials safely and accurately at branch locations.
- Verify delivery contents against packing slips to ensure accuracy prior to departure and upon delivery.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Ensure paperwork from DC is provided to branches each night.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operation and report any concerns immediately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safe operating condition.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Follow all material handling and load-securement requirements.
- Use appropriate PPE and safe lifting techniques at all times.




- Support compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures while performing deliveries.

Responsibilities (Warehouse)

- Participate in the loading of trucks for the morning deliveries.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment and vehicles.
- Following quality service standards and complying with warehouse and health and safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

WHAT YOU OFFER

- Minimum 1-2 Years of driving experience preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 Years previous warehouse experience.
- Valid DZ Driver’s License.
- Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklift license with at least two (2) years of work experience.
- Robust communication skills, with a customer service orientation.
- Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to problem-solve.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and contribute to company success.
