Automated Bagging Line Operator – Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) Machine Operator

Starting Wage: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) / Automated Bagging Line Operator to run a high-volume retail soil packaging line producing 25–50 L bags. Direct experience with soil, growing media, compost or mulch is strongly preferred. Equivalent automated bagging experience with fertilizer, seed, feed, wood pellets, salt, cat litter, or other bulk loose-fill materials will be considered.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with machine setup and adjustment, product and bag-size changeovers, bag weight and seal-quality checks, production and downtime reporting, basic mechanical troubleshooting, and automated downstream equipment such as palletizers, conveyors, wrappers and labellers.

Shift Schedule

Training Period (First Week)

- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Regular Afternoon Shift

- Monday to Friday
- 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
- Overtime as required
- Shift may start at 4pm periodically and extend to a 10 hr shift

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the FFS bagging line to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production targets.
- Complete daily production reports, downtime tracking, and operational logs.
- Operate a telehandler to feed material into the Rotomix system.
- Support team members assigned to the production line.
- Help coordinate workflow to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.




- Operate the Premier Tech robotic palletizer and associated production equipment.
- Work closely with forklift operators and shipping personnel to maintain production flow.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic repairs when required.
- Conduct shift handovers and communicate production concerns to management.
- Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience operating FFS bagging equipment or similar production machinery preferred.
- Experience operating a telehandler required; forklift experience is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
