Job Posting – Afternoon Lead Hand (Repack/Regrade)

Who We're Looking For

We need a hands on Afternoon Lead Hand who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and work right alongside the team. This isn't a desk job. You'll be on the floor, setting the pace, pitching in on the line, and keeping energy high through the afternoon shift. If you can motivate a crew, lead by example, and keep quality and deadlines on track, we want to hear from you. Organization, quality, and most importantly cleanliness and safety are critical to how we run this operation. The right person lives these values every shift and holds the team to them.

The Role

As the Afternoon Lead Hand, you'll manage process, not people. You'll assist the supervisor with day to day coordination of product regrading and repackaging, making sure quality standards, compliance, and customer specs are met. This role demands sharp attention to detail. You'll be spotting defects and production errors before they ever reach the supply chain, all while keeping the team focused, positive, and moving.

What You'll Do

- Set up packing lines and tables promptly so production starts on time every afternoon
- Organize large staffing and crew size to hit order deadlines
- Support the Repack/Regrade activities, directing the team on what and how to pack and regrade
- Stay on top of product inventory and ensure proper rotation is followed
- Promptly flag any inventory discrepancies to Leadership and Inventory




- Ensure products are labelled correctly
- Keep coolers organized so products are staged for shipping in valuable order
- Maintain general cooler and work area cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
- Take on other duties as required

What You Bring

- Experience in a similar role
- Understanding of food safety, health and safety, and packaging processes
- Highly motivated, self directed, and able to multi task with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in cooler environments
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- A strong work ethic and a positive, team first attitude
- The drive to lead from the floor, energizing others and doing the work yourself when needed

Working Conditions

- Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Cold work environment
- Manual dexterity
- Overtime as required
