Overview

- We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Refrigeration Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- This hands-on role requires strong mechanical knowledge, sound troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safe, reliable work.
- The technician will work with customers and team members to diagnose equipment issues, explain recommended repairs, and complete service work professionally.

Duties

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including related controls and components.
- Inspect systems, identify faults, and use schematics and technical documentation to guide diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and document work completed, equipment condition, and any follow-up needs.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating, and cooling equipment; appliance repair experience is helpful for related service work.
- Work with piping, fittings, and drainage systems; apply plumbing skills as needed.
- Perform or assist with welding and fabrication tasks when required for equipment or piping repairs.




- Service systems connected to boiler equipment and coordinate related work as appropriate.
- Follow applicable safety procedures, codes, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain tools and work areas, and communicate clearly about job status, findings, and repair needs.

Experience

- Journeyman-level experience in refrigeration service, installation, or repair.
- Strong mechanic experience and practical mechanical knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify root causes.
- Working knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, components, and controls.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical instructions.
- Experience with maintenance, plumbing, welding, boiler systems, or appliance repair is beneficial.
- Construction experience and familiarity with job-site safety practices are a plus.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
