On behalf of our Fintech client, Procom is searching for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products (Financing & Securitization) for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products (Financing & Securitization) - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with Fintech clients in the Spread Products space. This role involves architecting, building, and deploying production-grade solutions, while collaborating closely with client trading, risk, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will own the full technical delivery lifecycle from discovery to production hardening.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products (Financing & Securitization) - Responsibilities:

- Act as the primary technical point of contact embedded with client teams to gather requirements, scope solutions, and define technical sequencing.
- Rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready applications using Java or Python.
- Balance tradeoffs between scope, speed, and quality to meet aggressive client timelines.
- Own Discovery & Scoping engagements, translating business asks into clear technical specifications.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and establish continuous product feedback loops with client stakeholders.
- Produce explicit technical documentation and communicate complex architecture decisions.





Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products (Financing & Securitization) - Mandatory Skills:

- Expert-level proficiency in Java and/or strong production experience in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Tekton/OpenShift Pipelines and Jenkins for CI/CD.
- Strong database expertise across Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, and cloud deployment.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.
- High agency, ownership mindset, and comfort operating with ambiguity.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products (Financing & Securitization) – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Domain knowledge of Fintech, Capital Markets, or Spread Products.
- Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant.
- Experience using Python for quantitative analytics or ML-driven risk tooling.

This is a 6 month contract position.
