We are looking for an experienced and motivated Concrete Project Manager to join our team and manage commercial concrete forming projects from pre-construction through completion.

Role Description

The project manager will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of all of our commercial concrete projects. This position requires someone who is comfortable working closely with site supervisors, foreman, general contractors, suppliers, estimators, suppliers and company management to keep projects on schedule.

This is a fulltime permanent position in Napanee, Ont. with regular attendance at sites throughout and around our area of work.

Responsibilities

- Review commercial concrete forming projects from start up to completion

- Review all structural and architectural drawings and specifications

- Coordinate scheduling and timelines with the commercial estimator

- Coordinate scheduling with site supervisors and site teams regarding materials, labor, equipment and schedules

- Monitor project scheduling to ensure scheduling targets are maintained





- Attend project meetings with contractors, management, estimator, trades and consultants

- Identify construction issues and scope of work issues

- Prepare and manage RFI’s and change orders and follow up until necessary information is available.

- Identify areas outside of agreed scope of work and manage and prepare change orders with proper documentation prior to work commencing

- Track all project costs, quantities, labor and materials

- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment and mobilization

- Review and coordinate upcoming concrete pours and ensure forming is properly completed prior to poor.

- Review site progress and identify schedule or cost issues requiring additional action

- Maintain accurate records, drawings, communications, drawings, RFI’s and change orders and any project supporting documentation

- Assist with deficiency review and resolution and quality control requirements

- Communicate clearly with clients regarding progress, scheduling, changes and issues

- Support company safety requirements, health and safety legislation and ensure project activities are performed in accordance with applicable company policies,



procedures and regulations.

- Communicate with administration on project completion to meet invoice submission deadlines

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years as a concrete project manager with experience in commercial projects

- Knowledge of concrete forming methods, sequencing, shoring, concrete pours and typical commercial construction

- Strong understanding of structural and architectural drawings

- Strong understanding and proficiency in construction software such as Procore

- Experience in preparing and managing change orders and RFI’s

- Strong scheduling, problem solving and coordination skills

- ability to manage multiple projects with many moving parts consistently

- solid communication skills

- Strong understanding of project costs, productivity costs, material costs and project documentation

- Valid drivers license and the ability to travel to project sites
