Sheet Metal Fabricator – Full time, Permanent

I.M. Industries Ltd. is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our busy custom metal fabrication and welding shop. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member with a strong work ethic who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret work orders and accurately measure materials using an imperial tape measure.
- Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment within your training and experience.
- Cut, bend, roll, and form metal to meet work order specifications.
- Assist other fabricators, sheet metal workers, and machine operators as needed.
- Sort and organize metal sheets, parts, scrap, and other materials.
- Grind, deburr, or chip excess metal from fabricated products using appropriate tools.
- Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the shop manually or using powered equipment.
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Maintain clean machines and safe, organized work areas.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and directions.

Required Qualifications

- At least 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to accurately read and use an imperial tape measure.
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- Fluent English, including the ability to understand work orders and safety instructions.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork.




- Ability to safely handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks, extended periods of standing, and physically demanding work.
- Steel-toed safety boots.

Preferred Experience and Training

- Sheet Metal Mechanic certification or training through NAIT, SAIT, or an equivalent institution.
- At least 1 year of experience with each of the following:
- Power sheet metal shear
- Power brake
- Power and hand rolls
- Ironworker
- Bandsaw
- Experience using hand tools and lifting equipment.

Schedule and Employment

- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday.
- 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required.
