The Automotive Service Technician Apprentice supports vehicle inspection, repair, and maintenance while developing practical skills alongside experienced technicians. This hands-on role uses mechanical knowledge, tools, and service information to help keep vehicles safe and dependable. Work is completed collaboratively, with care for customers’ needs and the team’s workflow.
Duties
- Assist with automotive repair, routine maintenance, and assembly tasks under technician guidance.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely; follow schematics and instructions when inspecting or servicing components.
- Support welding and related repair work as directed, and help organize tools and work areas.
- Perform heavy lifting when needed, following safe handling practices, and communicate service updates respectfully.
- Your impact: Careful, timely support helps technicians complete quality work and return vehicles to customers.

Qualifications
Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, safe use of hand and power tools, ability to follow schematics, and capacity to perform heavy lifting are important for supporting repair and maintenance duties. Clear communication and a customer-service mindset help you work effectively with technicians and customers. Preferred: Dealership experience, mechanic experience, welding, automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly skills are valuable strengths for contributing to a busy service team.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
