In-Home Child Care Provider/Nanny

Location: Gibsons, BC

Position: Child Care Provider/ Nanny

Schedule: Full time/Shift work 0700-1515 hrs or 1500-2315 hrs (30-40 hrs)

Rate: $20.00 per hour

Start date: November 2026

We are currently looking for a caring, dependable, and responsible person to provide child care in our home for our 16 months old toddler. We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and can provide a safe, nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment. Preferably live out; live in negotiable.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive and compassionate care for our child
- Prepare straightforward meals and snacks as needed
- Organize age-appropriate activities, play, and learning
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, dressing, and bedtime as applicable
- Accompany our child on walks, outings, or activities when appropriate
- Communicate openly and respectfully with parents about the child’s day and needs

Qualifications & Attributes

- Previous child care, nanny, babysitting, or related experience is an asset
- Reliable, patient, trustworthy, and caring
- Comfortable working independently in a family home
- Strong communication skills
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- References may be requested
- Criminal record check may be required
