The Floor Installer prepares surfaces and installs flooring with care, following project plans and coordinating work to deliver clean, durable results. This hands-on role involves measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing materials while maintaining an orderly work area and protecting surrounding surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans and measurements, prepare the installation area, and identify materials and tools needed for the job.
- Install flooring and lay tile, making accurate cuts and adjustments to achieve a secure, even fit.
- Use hand tools and carpentry techniques to complete fitting, trim, and finishing work.
- Apply caulking where needed, keep the work area organized, and coordinate progress with colleagues.

Skills
Required: Practical ability with hand tools, flooring installation, tile laying, and caulking supports safe, accurate preparation and finishing. Blueprint reading and basic carpentry skills help you interpret plans, measure materials, and complete precise fits. Preferred: Construction experience or handyman experience is valuable, along with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a cooperative approach to completing projects.
