Title: Security Guard Mobile - Healthcare

Employment Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $24.48 per hour

Schedule: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; second shift 7:00 pm to 3:00 am

Site Overview

This role serves key healthcare facilities across the Cranbrook region. Our healthcare security operations focus on maintaining a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for medical staff, patients, and visitors across all local sites.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Mobile Healthcare Security Guard, your main priority is safely transporting medical teams and patients and protecting local healthcare facilities. Your day-to-day duties include:

- Safely escorting medical teams and patients to and from healthcare facilities throughout the region.

- Patrolling regional healthcare facilities to ensure property is secure and accessible.

- Maintaining a visible, qualified, and approachable security presence.

- Responding promptly to incidents, disturbances, and hospital emergency codes.

- Using de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention techniques to manage aggressive behavior.

- Writing clear, detailed incident reports and logs to help address security concerns and improve site safety.

Must Haves

- Valid BC Security License

- Valid BC Class 5 driver's license

- Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification

- High school diploma or GED equivalent

- Strong spoken and written communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills

- Ability to stay calm, professional, and empathetic in high-stress situations

- Physical ability to perform duty requirements, including standing, walking, and responding to emergency calls

- Completion of required training and certifications before site deployment

Nice-to-Haves

- Previous experience in a healthcare security environment

- Familiarity with hospital emergency codes and procedures
