- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain dynamic financial models, including cash flow forecasting, valuation analysis, return attribution, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis.
- Investment Committee Presentations: Synthesize complex deal structures, fee models, liquidity/redemption terms, and risk profiles into institutional-grade investment decks, memos, and committee presentations.
- Portfolio Shelf Monitoring: Continuously track fund performance, distributions, NAV calculations, redemption trends, and leverage metrics across the current product shelf; proactively flag emerging risks or structural changes.
- Market Research & Intelligence: Monitor macroeconomic indicators, interest rate trends, and sector dynamics to produce market commentaries and thematic research reports that inform product strategy.

- Sales & Advisor Support: Prepare product summaries and educational presentations for dealing representatives, helping address technical inquiries regarding asset allocation and fund mechanics.
- Occasional Travel: Conduct on-site manager meetings or asset walk-throughs with very occasional travel to Western Canada (Alberta and British Columbia).

Qualifications

- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline. Progress toward or completion of the CFA or CAIA designation is a strong asset.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional finance experience in investment research, due diligence, asset management, private equity, private credit/debt, equity research, or investment banking.
- Market Knowledge: Practical knowledge of private-market fund structures (e.g., LP/GP models, offering memorandums, liquidity windows, valuation policies); exposure to the Canadian exempt market or public equities/fixed income is highly regarded.
- Technical Modeling: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (building models from scratch, scenario analysis, DCF/returns modeling) and PowerPoint.
- Language Proficiency: Full qualified fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is required.
- Work Arrangement & Mobility: Ability to work full-time in-person at the Toronto office, with openness to occasional travel to Alberta or British Columbia as required.
