Support recreation therapy at AgeCare Lakeview in Vancouver by planning meaningful activities and assisting residents with scheduled outings. This is casual work. The Recreation Aide assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates resident recreation therapy activities. You will collaborate with the Recreation Manager and Executive Director while considering residents’ interests. The work includes records, communication, outings, activities, and meal services.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement meaningful resident recreation programs Prepare, carry out, and evaluate daily activities Maintain assessments, evaluations, participation records, and charting Facilitate scheduled and pre-arranged resident outings Assist with meal services and activity-level assessments

Requirements:
College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology, or equivalent Previous experience working with seniors Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent oral and written communication skills Valid provincial driver’s license and Vulnerable Sector Check Bring compassionate communication, recreation planning, and senior care experience to AgeCare Lakeview’s resident programs in Vancouver.
