Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Field Staff member to support daily operations as a Driver and Detailer. This hands-on role involves transporting vehicles safely, preparing them for customers, and helping maintain a clean, professional fleet. The position is suited to someone who enjoys working independently and providing helpful, courteous customer service. Training and clear procedures will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Drive vehicles between locations and follow safe driving practices and established routes.
- Inspect vehicles before and after transport, noting any visible damage or operational concerns.
- Clean and detail vehicles inside and out, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and washing exteriors.
- Prepare vehicles for customer use by ensuring they are clean, orderly, and ready for handoff.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service during vehicle pickups, drop-offs, and other interactions.
- Communicate promptly with team members about vehicle status, scheduling needs, or issues encountered.
- Keep work areas and detailing supplies organized, and follow applicable safety and vehicle-care procedures.

Skills

- Cleaning or vehicle-detailing experience is helpful; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a team.
- Comfortable with active, hands-on work, including standing, bending, and handling cleaning supplies.

CarmaCars is a new Toronto car rental company offering monthly and insurance-replacement rentals. As our Field Staff, you are the person our renters meet. You get your jobs on your phone in the CarmaCars field app and follow a step-by-step checklist for each one,



so you always know exactly what to do.

Pay and schedule

- $18.00 an hour, paid every two weeks
- Commission on add ons and supplemental revenue for the company
- Referral fee of $200 for every renter you bring in who completes a rental
- Part-time; hours vary with bookings, roughly 20-30 hours a week
- Some evening and weekend shifts

What you will do

- Handovers: meet renters, check their licence and payment card in person, take the guided photo set, and collect signatures in the app.
- Returns: record odometer, fuel, keys and cleanliness, take photos, and log any new damage.
- Deliveries and pickups: drive cars to and from renters across the Greater Toronto Area.
- Cleaning and detailing: get every car ready between rentals.
- Listing photos: shoot new cars in daylight for our listings.
- Errands: make registry runs to ServiceOntario and install GPS trackers in the fleet.
- Reporting: log any damage, warning light, ticket or incident in the app right away.

What you need

- A smartphone with a data plan
- A way to get around the GTA, by transit or your own vehicle (if company vehicles are unavailable)
- Polite, punctual and careful with details
- Comfortable saying no when a renter does not meet our rules
- Available some evenings and weekends

Nice to have

- Experience in car detailing, valet, a dealership or a rental counter

- Handovers and returns on time
- Complete photo sets on every job
- No car released unless every check has passed

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
