The Miramichi Regional Hospital is a vital healthcare facility providing essential medical services to the local community. What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will maintain safety across the facility while providing respectful service to everyone on site. Your daily responsibilities will include:

- Patrolling hospital grounds, patient care areas, entrances, and parking lots to prevent safety hazards and unauthorized access.

- Monitoring security systems, access controls, and surveillance cameras to identify potential safety risks promptly.

- Responding calmly and effectively to medical emergencies, fire alarms, security calls, and crisis situations.

- Using verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution skills to manage challenging interactions safely and respectfully.

- Assisting patients, visitors, and hospital staff with directions, facility policies, and general inquiries.

- Writing clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.

- Working alongside hospital staff and local emergency services when coordinated security responses are required.

Must Haves





- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

- 19 years of age or older

- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

- Fluency in spoken and written English.

- Availability to work flexible, casual shifts based on hospital needs.

- Required medical documentation: proof of two COVID-19 vaccine doses, immunization records (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella), and results of a 2-step Tuberculosis (TB) skin test.

- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) and Use of Force (UOF) certifications, or willingness to complete prerequisite training prior to start (training costs covered in exchange for a 6-month commitment).

- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, customer service, or healthcare support settings.
