Powell Foundations Inc. (PFI), located in Stouffville Ontario, strives to provide clients with all their foundation needs. We specialize in the construction of temporary excavation protection, pile driving, deep caisson shafts, sheet pile cofferdams, noise barriers and overhead sign footings. We are growing and looking to add a Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic to our team!

Main Responsibilities

- Strong experience with maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical troubleshooting along with preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair
- Able to perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Review, complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Maintain a clean, protected work area in compliance with Corporate/OHSA Standards and able to conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
- Able to perform maintenance related work as required

Job Requirements:

- Must be fully licenced 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic or 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic
- 3-5 years experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics, and mechanical equipment
- Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a busy environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Working knowledge of related maintenance and repair practices
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing




- Able to work well under pressure
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all time
