Current Opportunity:
We are seeking Industrial Mechanics to embed in a London area client’s Maintenance Department on a full-time continental shift rotation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical literature to effectively and efficiently maintain and repair automated manufacturing equipment.
- Follow safe work practices and all Health and Safety policies.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance work various types of manufacturing machinery as
- Identify and troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns
- Repair or replace defective machine parts and equipment.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Always conduct oneself in a highly safe and professional manner in alignment with Company values
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a Food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- A self-motivated individual who is a reliable team player
- Strong problem solving ability with a desire to learn new skills and experience.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge
- Welding & fabrication experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of and adherence to HACCP food safety protocols.
- Ability to integrate into rotating continental 12-hour shifts, working 7 shifts every 14 days incl. every other weekend with paid overtime.
- Must have a valid Drivers License and own vehicle
