Job Overview

- We are seeking a dependable Meat Preparation & Counter Sales Associate to prepare and package meat products while providing friendly, knowledgeable service to customers.
- This hands-on role combines food preparation, counter sales, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Previous experience in a food industry setting is helpful, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- The position is paid. Training is provided on workplace procedures and product standards.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, trim, portion, and package meat products according to established specifications.
- Assist with meat cutting and other butchery tasks, following safe practices and product-handling procedures.
- Serve customers at the counter, answer questions about products, and help fulfill orders.
- Weigh, label, wrap, and store products accurately.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper temperature control and cleaning practices.
- Keep preparation areas, tools, equipment, and display cases clean and orderly.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate stock as directed.




- Work collaboratively with team members to support daily preparation and customer service needs.

Skills

- Food handling and food safety knowledge, or willingness to learn and follow required procedures.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in Punjabi and/or Hindi is required, as many of our customers place their orders in one or both of these languages.
- Experience with food preparation, packaging, or other hands-on food service tasks.
- Butchery or meat cutting experience is a plus; training may be provided.
- Strong customer service skills and a courteous, helpful approach.
- Kitchen experience or experience in the food industry is beneficial.
- Attention to detail when preparing, weighing, labeling, and storing products.
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace and follow instructions consistently.
- Dependability, teamwork, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
