Position Overview

You’ll work for a growing, local, family-owned company that has been serving Canadians for over 100 years.

The Role

- Coordinating fire alarm projects from accepted quotation through to final verification, ensuring work is delivered on schedule and in line with job scope and client needs.
- Acting as the main point of contact with clients, staying on top of project timelines and site progress.
- Managing the timing of fire product deliveries so materials arrive when they’re needed for installation.
- Tracking parts and materials issued to contractors and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Ensuring progress invoicing is completed on time and aligned with project milestones.
- Scheduling and coordinating timely fire alarm verifications with Wilsons fire technicians at project completion.
- Managing a high-volume queue of work orders, prioritizing effectively and keeping all parties informed.
- Maintaining clear and accurate documentation, including scope, change orders, deliveries, parts issued and project notes.
- Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams to support smooth project delivery.
- Ongoing development of technical and industry knowledge in fire alarm and life safety systems.

Qualifications

- Exceptional organization and time management




- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage a large volume of work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, with solid follow-through
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with contractors, trades, or in a construction or technical environment
- Proven skills in conflict resolution
- Eagerness to learn and an effective team player
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems or life safety codes and standards is an asset
- Experience with purchasing, inventory tracking or invoicing is an asset

This is a full-time permanent position with a very attractive compensation package including benefits, pension matching, and other employee incentives. Positions are being filled in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This is an in-office role.
