Job Overview

The Steel Fabricator builds and assembles metal components using fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools. The role involves interpreting project information, preparing materials, and completing accurate, quality-focused work that supports manufacturing, construction, and ductwork projects.

Duties

- Read blueprints and schematics, take measurements with calipers, and use basic math to plan fabrication tasks.
- Cut, shape, weld, and machine metal using plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and MIG or TIG welding methods.
- Assemble components and move materials safely using rigging techniques, cranes, forklifts, and appropriate tools.
- Your impact: Accurate fabrication and assembly help colleagues keep projects moving and deliver dependable finished components.

Skills





Required: Practical welding and fabrication capabilities, blueprint reading, basic math, safe use of hand and power tools, and mechanical knowledge support accurate cutting, machining, and assembly. Preferred: MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, press brake machine, calipers, rigging, crane and forklift operation, plus manufacturing, ductwork, or construction experience strengthen versatility across projects.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 per week
