About Us:

D Bar D Buildings & Materials is a locally operated building materials supplier serving contractors, builders, and homeowners throughout the surrounding communities. As our retail business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our team and help grow our customer base.

The Role:

We are looking for a hands-on, customer-focused individual who can wear multiple hats throughout the day. This position combines sales, customer service, desk ordering, and yard operations. The ideal candidate has a proven sales track record, takes initiative, and enjoys being part of a growing local business.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist customers in person and over the phone with product inquiries and orders.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate supplier purchases and deliveries.
- Build relationships with local contractors, builders, and homeowners.
- Follow up on quotes, develop new customer accounts, and identify sales opportunities.
- Help load, unload, receive, and organize building materials.
- Operate a forklift and assist with daily yard and inventory operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

- Proven sales experience and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Building materials, lumber, construction,



or hardware experience is an asset.
- Forklift operating experience is an asset but not required; training can be provided to the right candidate.
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing desk work with hands-on duties.
- Able to perform physical yard work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Local to Crossfield, Carstairs, Airdrie, or surrounding communities is preferred.

Compensation & What We Offer:

- $26.00 per hour, based on the proposed starting wage.
- 5% sales incentive on qualifying gross profit, subject to the company's sales incentive policy.
- Review: A compensation review after three to six months based on demonstrated performance.
- Full time, Monday-to-Friday schedule.
