Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Industrialized Construction

About the role

Morson is partnering with a growth-stage industrialized construction company to find its first true CFO. You’ll report to the CEO/Managing Director and work closely with the executive team and Board.

This is a build role. You’ll own the full financial engine: FP&A;, controllership, treasury, capital raising, investor relations and government grants. You’ll start lean and hands-on, then build the team, systems and controls as the business scales.

Your two big priorities

- Lead the capital strategy that funds the company’s three-year plan
- Partner with the CEO on planning and execution, including standing up new manufacturing facilities

What you’ll do

- Own budgeting, multi-year forecasting and the long-range financial model across all divisions
- Lead fundraising end to end, from models and investor materials to data rooms and due diligence
- Manage relationships with investors, lenders, shareholders and capital partners
- Oversee accounting (currently outsourced) and keep reporting accurate, timely and GAAP-compliant
- Build models for pricing,



product profitability, margin, capacity investment and scenario planning
- Set the KPIs and dashboards that hold the business to plan
- Prepare Board-ready reporting and represent finance with investors

What you bring

- CPA (or equivalent), required. CFA or MBA is a plus
- 15+ years in finance, including 5+ as CFO, VP Finance or Finance Director in a growth company
- A track record of leading capital raises and financing transactions
- Experience building a finance function from the ground up
- A background in manufacturing, industrial or construction, with a solid grasp of cost structures, inventory and margin drivers
- Robust modelling skills, plus controllership and audit experience
- Project-based or contract cost accounting experience
- International or multi-site exposure is an asset

Pay: $150,000.00 per year

Experience:

- CFO, VP Finance or Finance Director: 5 years (required)
- progressive finance leadership: 10 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CPA designation (or equivalent) (required)
