Tactical Security Guard – Mississauga, ON

Skyview Security & Intelligence Inc. is currently seeking experienced and professional Tactical Security Guards for one of our client locations in Mississauga, Ontario.

We are looking for dependable, confident, and highly observant security professionals who can maintain a strong security presence while providing excellent customer service and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have

- Minimum 2 years of Tactical Security experience or equivalent relevant experience.
- Full-time availability, including afternoons, overnight shifts, weekends, statutory holidays, and varying schedules.
- Must be legally entitled to work full-time in Canada without hourly restrictions.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, including:
- Criminal Code of Canada
- Section 494 of the Criminal Code – Arrest Without Warrant
- Trespass to Property Act
- Mental Health Act
- Other applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific policies
- Valid Use of Force certification, including handcuff and baton training, considered a strong asset.
- Strong customer-service skills with the ability to remain professional in challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong report-writing and documentation abilities, including:
- Memo book entries
- Incident reports
- Daily activity reports
- Occurrence documentation
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Professional appearance, conduct, and physical deportment.
- Strong decision-making skills, reliability, sound judgment, and common sense.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.




- Strong understanding of the Trespass to Property Act and relevant provisions of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide professional, courteous, and personalized customer service while representing Skyview Security as a frontline security professional.
- Maintain a safe, secure, professional, and organized workplace.
- Enforce client property rules, policies, and applicable legislation, including the Trespass to Property Act.
- Maintain the safety and security of clients, residents, visitors, employees, property, and assets.
- Actively monitor:
- CCTV systems
- Fire and life-safety systems
- Access-control systems
- Alarm systems
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, including:
- Medical emergencies
- Fire alarms
- Security incidents
- Building emergencies
- Disturbances and other site-related incidents
- Follow established emergency-response and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular:
- Foot patrols
- Vehicle patrols
- Property inspections
- Facility and equipment checks
- Identify and report safety hazards, security concerns, deficiencies, suspicious activity, and maintenance issues.
- Review, understand, and follow all site-specific Post Orders, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed security documentation.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all applicable occupational health and safety procedures.




- Assist with de-escalation and conflict management when required.
- Complete other security-related duties as assigned by management or the client.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence in good standing and without restrictions.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C + AED Certification.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence with full driving privileges.
- Ability to meet the physical and operational requirements of a tactical security position.

Assets

The following qualifications are considered strong assets:

- Use of Force Certification
- Handcuff Certification
- Baton Certification
- Ontario Smart Serve Certificate
- Previous tactical, healthcare, shelter, commercial, residential, retail-loss-prevention, or high-risk security experience
- Experience dealing with individuals experiencing mental-health or behavioural crises

Availability

Candidates must be available to work a flexible full-time schedule that may include:

- Afternoon shifts
- Overnight shifts
- Weekends
- Statutory holidays
- Emergency or additional coverage when required
