We are seeking an experienced and reliable DZ Truck Driver to join a well-established food distribution company. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering food products to customers, restaurants, warehouses, and other commercial locations.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of verifiable DZ driving experience, a clean driving record, and strong knowledge of commercial vehicle safety and delivery procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Operate DZ trucks safely on assigned delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate food deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure food products using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other appropriate equipment when required.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
- Handle refrigerated, frozen, and dry food products according to applicable food safety standards.
- Verify delivery orders, invoices, and shipping documentation.
- Communicate delivery updates, delays, and discrepancies to dispatchers and warehouse staff.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper handling of food products during transportation.
- Follow all MTO regulations, traffic laws, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with basic vehicle upkeep and report maintenance requirements.





Skills & Qualifications

Required:

- Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence.
- Minimum 4 years of professional DZ truck driving experience.
- Clean driver's abstract and satisfactory commercial driving record.
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road safety.
- Experience loading, unloading, and securing freight.
- Ability to lift and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Solid communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Preferred:

- Previous experience in food distribution, grocery delivery, or refrigerated transportation.
- Experience operating refrigerated straight trucks.
- Forklift or electric pallet jack operating experience.
- Familiarity with GTA and surrounding delivery routes.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.

Ideal Candidate

We are specifically looking for DZ drivers with at least 4 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in food distribution. Candidates must be comfortable handling food products, performing loading and unloading duties, and completing deliveries safely and efficiently.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
