About the Role

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our childcare team.

The RECE will provide high-quality care and education to young children in a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and engaging environment. The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, and fellow educators to support each child's learning, development, and well-being.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, responsive, and nurturing care to children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences based on children's interests and developmental needs.
- Create a secure, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Follow the How Does Learning Happen? framework and centre programming practices.
- Maintain accurate daily records, observations, documentation, and attendance.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and caregivers.
- Work collaboratively with RECEs, assistant educators, supervisors, and other staff.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.




- Assist with meals, snacks, diapering/toileting, rest periods, transitions, and other daily routines.
- Follow the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and all applicable licensing requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and centre initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- RECE diploma from an approved Ontario program or recognized equivalent.
- Three years experience working with children in classroom settings or early childhood programs
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.
- Vulnerable Sector Check as required by Ontario regulations
- Current TB screening/test documentation
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
