We are looking for an experienced and motivated Landscape Maintenance Foreman to lead our maintenance division.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of professional landscape maintenance, horticulture and crew leadership.

We're looking for someone who can organize a crew, communicate professionally with clients, and take pride in the properties under their care.

Leadership Responsibilities

As Foreman, you will be responsible for setting the standard for your crew. You will:

- Follow property specific maintenance contracts and maintain the quality of work
- Keep the team organized and productive by assigning tasks based on crew members' abilities
- Teach proper techniques and equipment use
- Maintain a positive and professional work setting
- Ensure jobs are completed within scheduled timeframes
- Identify and report property concerns and opportunities for additional work outside of the contract
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients
- Track and report hours, tasks completed and materials used




- Ensure company safety procedures are followed on every job site

Daily Tasks:

- Lead and work alongside a landscape maintenance crew
- Organize daily routes, tasks and crew responsibilities
- Landscape maintenance including:
- Lawn mowing, edging and trimming
- Garden bed maintenance and weeding
- Pruning
- Mulch and soil installation
- Planting and transplanting
- Fertilizing and general plant care

Qualifications:

Strong horticultural and plant identification knowledge. Horticulture Certificate considered an asset.

Knowledge of proper pruning and plant-care practices

Experience operating commercial mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers and other landscape equipment

Valid BC driver’s licence and ability to drive a truck with trailer.

Physically capable of performing outdoor landscape work throughout the day

Basic knowledge of irrigation systems is considered an asset.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
