Seeking a 310T Truck Mechanic or 341A Heavy Duty Equipment Tech required for a company in Hamilton area.

Responsible for:

The 310T Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet equipment in compliance with company. This role involves advanced comfort with troubleshooting hydraulics (fleet equipment utilizes Power Take-Off (PTO) links and electrical systems, completing accurate work orders, supporting daily operations, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work workplace.

The 341A Heavy Duty Equipment Tech to inspect, service and maintain a range of heavy-duty construction, manufacturing equipment, and recycling/recovery of metals equipment. The role will diagnose and fix faults, replace worn parts. Strong knowledge about hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems ensuring compliance with safety and ministry guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required

Ø Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues on a variety of vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.

Ø Conduct thorough inspections of heavy construction and manufacturing equipment.

Ø Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment, and reviewing digital schematics

Ø Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts

Ø Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.

Ø Ordering parts and supplies, managing inventory necessary for maintenance and repairs.

Ø Complete administrative tasks such as accurate,



detailed service reports ensuring compliance with safety regulations such as MOL, MOE and MOT.

Ø Must be comfortable working on both road-going vehicles and heavy-duty site equipment such as 50-ton equipment, tractors, and shuttle trucks.

Ø Be comfortable using computers to search for mechanical solutions, review digital schematics and ordering parts and to manage inventory.

Ø Leadership & Department Growth: Take complete ownership of the garage. If workload demands, there is potential to hire and mentor an apprentice to oversee routine wrench-turning, positioning the candidate to lead a small internal mechanics department over time.

Ø Five (5) or more years in trade

Ø Strong communications skills required in oral and in written form,

Ø Role reports to Owner (family business culture)

Pay rate: $45-$50/hour.

Schedule: Monday to Friday start at 7 am to 3 or 5 pm. However, flexibility is required if a machine needs an extra 30 minutes of work or a Saturday morning attention to be ready for Monday – managed that independently

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
