GENERAL LITIGATION LAWYER

Nanda & Associate Lawyers is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join our Mississauga office. Preference will be given to candidates with 10 or more years of litigation experience who can independently manage files, develop practical strategies and confidently represent clients in court.

Established in 2003, our full-service firm serves individuals, families and businesses across a broad range of practice areas. This position offers varied litigation work and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of our litigation practice.

The practice includes civil and commercial disputes, contractual claims, real estate and property disputes, debt recovery and enforcement proceedings. Experience in estate litigation, employment disputes or mortgage enforcement would be an asset.

Responsibilities

- Independently manage litigation files from initial assessment through settlement, trial and enforcement.
- Prepare pleadings, affidavits, motion materials, facta and other court documents.
- Conduct discoveries, mediations, motions, pre-trial conferences and trials.
- Advise clients clearly on strategy, legal risks, anticipated costs and settlement options.
- Collaborate with other lawyers and supervise supporting law clerks and junior team members.
- Maintain timely docketing, file management, billing and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Contribute to client development,



professional relationships and referrals.

Qualifications

- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Preferably 10 or more years of litigation experience.
- Strong advocacy, legal research, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and applicable court practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an active caseload independently and meet deadlines.
- Practical judgment, clear client communication and a commitment to professional service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a full-service firm.
