The Telecom Rigger is responsible for installing telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.) and mobile telecommunications structures (cell towers). Work may be performed on towers, rooftops, and within industrial or commercial buildings.

Work Schedule

- Must be available to work from Monday to Friday (possibility of up to 10 consecutive days).

Work Location

- Travel required to job sites in the Maritimes
- The successful candidate must reside in New Brunswick, near Dieppe, to facilitate travel and work scheduling.

Responsibilities

- Install telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.)
- Perform work at heights on telecommunications towers
- Connect and integrate telecommunications equipment
- Carry out vertical and horizontal movement within steel or wooden structures
- Perform tasks while fully suspended in the air
- Use hand and electronic tools safely and effectively
- Collaborate in maintaining cohesion across all departments of the organization
- Promote and contribute to prevention efforts for a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment
- Perform any other reasonable and related tasks normally carried out by a Wireless Technician, in keeping with the skills, abilities, and capacity required for the position

Job Requirements





- Hold the Health and Safety on Construction Sites certification (ASP Construction)
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Reside in Recent Brunswick, near Dieppe
- Be in excellent physical condition and feel comfortable climbing telecommunications towers reaching heights of 200 to 300 feet (approximately 60 to 90 metres)
- Be comfortable working at heights and moving around elevated structures while following all safety procedures
- Previous experience as a tower erector or in structural assembly or telecommunications installation is strongly recommended
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
