Welder – Afternoon Shift

Shift: Afternoon Shift
Pay: $22.00–$30.00/hour + $2.00/hour afternoon shift premium

About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring 2 experienced Welders for a well-established metal manufacturing client in Windsor, Ontario.

The Welder will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using a variety of welding techniques. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret welding blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, manuals, and work instructions.
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate and repair metal parts and products.
- Perform welding using GTAW (TIG), GMAW, and FCAW techniques.
- Perform multi-pass welding as required.
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment.
- Inspect completed welds and components to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Follow established welding procedures and production standards.
- Identify and report quality or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
- Current welding certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including:
- - GTAW / TIG
- GMAW
- FCAW
- Multi-pass welding

- Ability to read and understand welding blueprints and technical drawings.




- Ability to safely follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is an asset.

Working Conditions

- Work in a manufacturing/shop environment.
- Exposure to noise, sparks, welding fumes, grinding debris, and moving equipment.
- Regular standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production workplace.
- Required PPE must be worn at all times.

- Follow all workplace health and safety legislation and company safety procedures.
- Follow welding procedures and quality control requirements.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
