We are seeking highly motivated, hard-working individuals to work in our hay farm. We also welcome newcomers. Indigenous people, people with disabilities and vulnerable youth to apply. The applicant must be able to do heavy lifting, work well in a team workplace, communicate effectively and efficiently with other workers, ability to work long hours or early mornings, late afternoons, and weekends if required, ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions.

The main duties that will be required of the applicant are:

- Prepare fields and soil for planting and crop production.
- Assist with seeding and planting activities.
- Handle and prepare seed, fertilizer and other agricultural materials as directed.
- Set up, move, connect and monitor irrigation hoses, pipes and irrigation lines.
- Monitor crops, fields and irrigation conditions and report any concerns to the Farm Manager or supervisor.
- Perform general crop care and field maintenance duties.
- Assist with the application and handling of fertilizers and other agricultural materials under supervision and in accordance with safety procedures.
- Perform manual harvesting and general harvesting-related duties.
- Collect, move, stack, count and organize hay bales and other harvested agricultural products.
- Assist with loading and unloading hay, seed, fertilizer,



supplies and other agricultural products.
- Prepare harvested crops for storage, transportation or shipment.
- Inspect harvested crops for visible quality issues, moisture, damage or contamination and report concerns to the supervisor.
- Sort and organize agricultural products according to instructions.
- Record bale counts, harvested quantities, field activities and other basic production information when required.
- Clean fields, farm yards, storage areas, work areas and agricultural facilities.
- Maintain clean and organized storage and work areas.
- Assist with the maintenance of fences, irrigation lines, storage areas and other farm infrastructure.
- Follow farm safety procedures and supervisor instructions at all times.
- Report workplace hazards, crop problems, damaged property, injuries or other concerns promptly to the supervisor.
- Perform other general farm duties as assigned that are consistent with the General Farm Worker position.
