AgriTeks is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to service colour sorting, fruit packing, and fruit processing equipment in the Fraser Valley region.

Based in Langley, BC, we have been servicing the fruit and vegetable processing and packing industry since 2007. We are the exclusive Sales & Service representatives for WECO Sorting & Automation, A&B; Packing Equipment, and Lakewood Process Machinery in British Columbia. Our product lines are found in several industries, including Blueberry, Tomato, Cranberry, Cherry, and various other fruit and vegetable industries.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a self-starter to deliver the desired customer service experience as a Field Service Technician. The goal is to drive exceptional service that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Diagnose errors and technical problems to determining solutions for various equipment
- Provide ongoing high quality technical support and proactive maintenance during field visits and service calls
- Effective communication to achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
- Ability to work long hours in the peak season (peak season is usually from May-September)
- Work in a shop workplace, repairing and refurbishing colour sorters outside the peak
- Documenting detailed service reports and submitting them in a timely manner
- Managing time and resources in both a team and an independent work environment
- Ongoing communication with the technical team and sharing information across the organization
REQUIREMENTS :
- Independent and self-motivated
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service various technical and mechanical equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude (Technical degree or certification in either automotive, industrial, or electro-mechanical industries are an asset)
- Must enjoy teamwork and communicate well with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work schedules during the peak season
- Strong work ethic and a track record of personal and professional growth
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel and understanding of basic electronics preferred
- Previous field service experience an asset
- Must be able to lift 80lbs
- Clean driving abstract
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Service Vehicle and company cell phone during the season

- Longer seasonal hours will be compensated with time off during the off season

This position is customer facing and a qualified individual must be able to interact effectively with existing customers and potential future customers in a manner that is positive and confident.
Our facility, located in Langley B.C., will be the primary location for most of the work. Majority of the equipment being serviced is located at the customers’ facilities which are spread throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. There will also be opportunities to travel to other parts of Canada in the future.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
