Speedy Concrete Ltd. is a growing independent ready-mix concrete supplier serving customers throughout Metro Vancouver. As our operations continue to expand, we are looking for reliable and hardworking Concrete Mixer Drivers to join our team.
Previous concrete mixer experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidates who have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck
- Deliver concrete to residential and commercial job sites throughout Metro Vancouver
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding deliveries and job-site conditions
- Position the truck safely and efficiently at job sites
- Operate mixer controls and discharge concrete as required
- Keep the truck and mixer clean and in good working condition
- Complete required delivery and vehicle documentation
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable commercial vehicle regulations
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and contractors
Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 3 Driver’s Licence required
- Clean and acceptable driver's abstract
- Previous concrete mixer or ready-mix driving experience is preferred, but not required
- Experience operating commercial trucks is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Comfortable working around active construction sites
- Positive communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work early mornings and Saturdays as required
- Willingness to learn — training will be provided to suitable candidates
