This is a developmental position designed for someone with a foundational understanding of

construction who is interested in building a career in estimating. The Junior Estimator will support the

preparation of estimates for multifamily wood-frame construction projects, working alongside

experienced members of the Estimating and Pre-Construction team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings using estimating and takeoff
- software.
- Review drawings.
- Assist in identifying framing assemblies, materials, hardware, structural components, and project specific requirements.
- Support the preparation of material, labour, and scope quantities for project estimates.
- Maintain organized estimating files and takeoff documentation.
- Identify drawing conflicts, missing information, or scope questions and bring them forward for
- review.
- Maintain accurate records and follow NuFrame's established estimating processes and
- documentation standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferred qualifications include:

- Foundational knowledge of construction drawings, building systems, or wood-frame construction.




- Ability or willingness to develop proficiency in reading architectural and structural plans.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Comfortable working with PDF drawings and digital documentation.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, or similar construction software is considered an asset.
- Previous construction, framing, estimating, drafting, engineering, architectural, or related experience
- is considered an asset.
- Relevant construction or technical education is considered an asset
