Kumon of Surrey Sullivan is looking for a motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic Centre Assistant to join our team. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children, has strong academic skills, and is passionate about supporting students in their learning journey.

This position is particularly suitable for university students looking for part-time work in a positive and educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

⁠ ⁠Grade students’ worksheets in mathematics and reading.

⁠ ⁠Assist students with their daily assignments and provide guidance when needed.

⁠ ⁠Monitor students’ progress, accuracy, and work habits.

⁠ ⁠Support students in developing confidence, independence, and good study habits.

⁠ ⁠Maintain an organized, welcoming, and productive classroom environment.

⁠ ⁠Assist with general centre operations and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

⁠ ⁠Strong mathematics skills,



including Pre-Calculus, are required.

⁠ ⁠Currently enrolled in university is preferred.

⁠ ⁠Excellent communication and organizational skills.

⁠ ⁠Responsible, punctual, patient, and detail-oriented.

⁠ ⁠Enjoys working with children and supporting their academic development.

⁠ ⁠Able to work independently and as part of a team.

⁠ ⁠Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset but not required.

Work Schedule

Part-time hours, primarily during weekday afternoons/evenings and/or Saturdays. Availability and scheduling will be discussed during the interview.

Pay: $18.25-$20.25 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
