The Opportunity:

We are looking for a detailed oriented Surface Land Analyst to join our team in our Grande Prairie office. This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to start or grow their career in the land services industry. This position will play a key role in managing surface land assets with accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

· Identify and coordinate surface rights, maintain land records, prepare documentation, and supporting Land Agents and Project Managers in obtaining and managing the surface access required for energy operations.

· Assist with acquiring surface access rights for oil and gas facilities, pipelines, roads, well sites, databases, and other infrastructure.

· Conduct research and analysis on land titles, land ownership records, legal land descriptions, title registrations, encumbrances, and other regulatory requirements.

· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of land agreements, leases, and contracts.

· Track agreement status, expiry dates, renewals, extensions, and outstanding conditions.

· Review survey plans, legal land descriptions, surface plans, mapping information, confirm project requirements and identify directly and indirectly affected parties and potential risks.

· Identify land access requirements and potential conflicts affecting project development.

· Verify land data for accuracy and completeness.





· Prepare supporting land documents such as third-party notifications, crossing, proximity, road use requests, contact reports, acquisition reports, landowner line lists, public consultation reports and reports summarizing status and progress of same

· Prepare and submit applications and required consents and documents for the acquisition of Crown lands, well sites, pipelines, amendments and renewals

· Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with project timelines and objectives.

· Prepare and update client and project status reports ensuring accuracy, communication internally and externally with clients regarding project status and updates.

· Maintain accurate records and databases of land-related information.

· Ensure records are organized and available for internal reviews, audits, and project requirements.

· Prepare final packages in compliance with company and client standards.

· Contribute to the development of systems, processes, and tools to enhance consistency, efficiency, and accuracy of acquisition and administration services to clients.

· Assist with resolving discrepancies in land records, agreements terms, and property information.

· Provide administrative support to the land management team as needed.

What We Are Looking For

· Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

· Experience with AbaData Maps, Electronic Disposition, SPIN2 (Alberta), ISC (Saskatchewan), CS Land, and geoSCOUT is an asset.

· Strong analytical, research skills, and problem solving abilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to work independently while collaboratively effectively within a team environment.

· Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
