We are seeking a dedicated Clamp Forklift Operator to join our clients dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of material handling machinery to efficiently move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Morning & Afternoon Shifts

Pay rate: $20-$22/hour

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Operate Material Handling Equipment such as the Clamp and move material through the facility as required.
- Sticker and scan the labels to receive them to our facility.
- Moving Appliances to correct locations by reading the stickers & scanning labels into sub locations.
- Ensure tasks get done on-time and accurately
- Able to work independently and in a team-focused environment.
- Provide materials to the picking line by physically moving them from stock points along the line, off trailers, and from other storage areas.
- Actively communicate with supervisors, team leads and colleagues to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns
- Stack product in designated areas correctly. Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas
- Demonstrate respect for the organization’s values daily, while maintaining and upholding company policies & procedures




- Other duties as required and/or assigned by the Supervisor present.

- Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws
- Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, procedures
- Always wear or use protective equipment
- Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor
- Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others
- Must not put other workers at risk by your actions

EDUCATION:

- Some High School, preferably a High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE:

- At least 1-year warehouse experience operating material handling equipment
- 1 year or more of operator experience and certification with proven track record for safety

CORE COMPETENCIES:

- Proven communication both written and verbal
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting up to 50lbs boxes comfortable with physical work
- Service orientated with robust customer service skills and commitment to quality of work
- Good mathematical skills
- Strong team player, but also able to work effectively independently
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills - able to follow instructions
- Organized and shows strong attention to detail
