The Opportunity

Oncore Seniors Society is looking for energetic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our team in casual dining room positions at RiverBend Seniors Community in Kamloops.

You will help create a positive dining experience for residents by providing friendly service, assisting with meal service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. Working alongside Dietary Aides and Cooks, you will contribute to the smooth operation of daily food services and resident satisfaction.

Flexible availability is essential. Applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Shifts may be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the dining room for meals, including setting tables and ensuring the area is clean and welcoming.
- Serve meals and beverages in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
- Communicate respectfully with residents, respond to requests, and report concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Work collaboratively with Cooks and Dietary Aides to ensure efficient meal service.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain kitchen and dining room cleanliness.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and communicate important information to team members.




- Assist with other food services duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Current FoodSafe certificate.
- WHMIS training or willingness to complete required training.
- Previous food service, serving, or kitchen experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment is an asset.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with residents and colleagues.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Satisfactory criminal record check and any additional screening required for the position.
