We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support staff to create a safe, nurturing, and educational workplace for children. The ideal candidate will speak Russian and have a passion for working with young children. This role involves providing care and support to children with additional support needs who only speak russian and Ukrainian , ensuring their safety, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Duties

- Provide direct support for the child including establishing a caring and trusting relationship.
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
- Engage children in play, storytelling, and other interactive activities to stimulate their imagination.
- Assist with daily routines such as transitioning from the centre to school.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment including sweeping, mopping and sanitizing.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive team environment focused on the well-being of the children.

Skills

- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on nurturing children's needs.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is preferred.
- Experience working with children of various ages in classroom or child care settings.
- Ability to educate children through engaging activities that promote learning.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential for effective interaction with both children and parents.
- Familiarity with working with persons with additional needs is a plus, ensuring inclusivity in care practices.

Job Type: Part Time

Expected hours: 7-8:30 and 2:30-5:30 with the possibility of more hours on In-service days.

Expected hours: 15.0 – 27.5 per week
